24 Dec Berries only
The use of floral foam for easy arrangement.
Berries only Recipe
- Bamboo sticks
- Plastic wrap
- Decorative paper (A2 size)
- Hot glue
- Foam ball cut in half
Preparing of the foam body
1. Wrap the foam in paper
The top of the bouquet will be the straight cut part of the half sphere. Wrap the bottom very lightly, so that it will be easier to attach the bamboo sticks.
You can choose to not wrap the bottom at all. In this case just make sure to wrap the top of the foam body.
2. Wrap the foam body of bouquet tightly in plastic wrap (1-2 layers)
The plastic wrap will protect the foam from moisture and juices from berries.
3. Stem for the foam body
Turn the foam body flat side down, and towards the center of the rounded bottom, insert the skewers (around 20-25 sticks). That will be the stem of the bouquet.
4. Securing of the stem
Wrap the bottom of the skewers with tape, until you can hold the stem up firmly and comfortably.
Arrangement of products
1. Arrangements of berries
Insert a toothpick to the foam body leaving 1 cm (0.4in) sticking out.
Insert the toothpicks one by one, leaving enough distance between them for the berries to be touching lightly with one another.
2. Fill the entire top of the foam body with berries
Fill in all the empty nooks and crannies. Berries should entirely cover the green part of the foam body.
You may arrange berries in two layers, inserting one on top of the other.
Wrapping of the bouquet
1. Wrapping in paper
Prepare a sheet of decorative paper.
Fold down one side of the paper. Lay the bouquet on the folded edge of the paper.
Wrap the paper from one side and secure it. Wrap the paper from the other side and secure once again.
2. Wrapping of the stem
Wrap the paper tightly around the stem of the bouquet, then wrap a ribbon of your choice around it.
If the paper is still loose around the foam body of the bouquet, secure it using hot glue.
Edible bouquet is done.
